ABOUT
My name is Lawren Alice - I am an artist, muralist, and curator best known for my bold, freehand flourishing pattern designs. Whether it's large-scale murals, vintage apparel, canvas, or upcycled furniture, I absolutely love trying to bring vibrance and energy to a variety or spaces and surfaces. My work has found its place in private homes and public spaces across Philadelphia and beyond.
My style is a blend of cultural influences, blending the vivid colors of Pakistani truck art, the intricate details of Norwegian rosemaling, and the raw, layered textures of graffiti. This eclectic mix of traditional artistry and modern flair shapes my signature aesthetic. I like to work with bold palettes, fluid forms, and a sense of dynamic movement that's inspired by the natural world. While I'm not directly echoing nature, I draw from its structures and elements, using the inspiration to create nearly symmetrical compositions that feel free-flowing and harmonious. I hope that that each piece of my work brings a calming effect, while still feeling uplifting and energizing, to all those that experience it.
I'm always eager to push the boundaries of my practice, looking for new ways and opportunities to express my patterns and explore new possibilities, always ready for the next challenge.
